📷 Film & Aerial
Film & Aerial Services
Sometimes the best view can only be seen from above, while other stories are best told from the ground. By combining professional filmmaking with licensed drone operations, I create engaging visual content for businesses, organisations and outdoor projects throughout Scotland. Whether it’s promotional video, aerial photography, roof inspections or thermal imaging, every project is approached safely, carefully and with the goal of delivering imagery that’s both practical and visually compelling.
Aerial and film credits include BBC Springwatch, BBC ALBA (Saor No Daor, Caledonia TV), Bowmore and The Naked Grouse (Made Brave).
Recent Projects
• BBC Springwatch — Drone footage of salmon redds on the River Ness, working alongside Chris Conroy of the Ness District Salmon Fishery Board
• Saor No Daor (Caledonia TV, BBC ALBA) — aerial drone footage of Inverness City
• Glen Affric Duathlon — a short documentary film born from competing in the event and falling for the area, filmed after a chance conversation with the organisers
• Quest79’ers — a completed travelling documentary project made with Mike Webster for adventurer Karen Darke, following a group each taking on their own personal challenge, filmed on ground cameras and the Inspire 2 aerial platform
• The Naked Escape — an aerial shoot for Made Brave and Thomas Hogben, filmed for The Naked Grouse (now Naked Malt) whisky, on a remote stretch of Scotland’s north-west coast as the weather turned from driving rain to perfect light in the day’s final hour
• Bowmore Devil’s Cask, “No Corners to Hide” — aerial work for the whisky campaign created with Scottish comic artist Frank Quitely
• Roof inspection for commercial insurance claim
• Orthomosaic survey supporting infrastructure planning

Aerial Photography
Aerial photography offers a completely different perspective, revealing landscapes, buildings and projects in ways that simply aren’t possible from the ground. Operating safely and legally, I provide high-resolution aerial imagery for businesses, organisations, tourism, construction and private clients throughout Scotland.
Aerial Video
Whether you’re promoting a business, documenting a project or showcasing Scotland’s landscapes, aerial video adds movement and scale that helps tell a compelling story. Every flight is carefully planned to achieve the best possible results while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism and compliance.
Promotional Video Production
Video is one of the most effective ways to communicate your story. I combine ground-based filming with aerial footage to create engaging promotional films for businesses, tourism, organisations and outdoor projects.
Roof Inspections
Using drones allows roofs, chimneys and other difficult-to-access areas to be inspected safely without the need for scaffolding or working at height. High-resolution imagery helps identify damage while minimising disruption and cost. Detailed photographs and thermograms can then be reviewed to help identify areas that may require further investigation or repair.
Thermal Imaging
Thermal imaging provides a unique view that can highlight heat loss, moisture issues and other temperature-related anomalies. Combined with aerial platforms where appropriate, it offers a safe and efficient way to gather valuable visual information. Whether inspecting buildings, monitoring farmland, assessing woodland health or supporting environmental surveys, thermal imagery can reveal hidden details that help identify potential issues quickly and safely.
